Tan Soldiers are the main type of enemies in the Army Men franchise.

They are the most common type of enemies found in the games and use carbines, machine guns, flamethrowers and bazookas and work on squads of four or six most of the time.
Sarge's Heroes games[]
In Sarge's Heroes, Tan Soldiers are shown to be relativley even to Green. They are as commonly killed as they are killing. As well as this, they also show no lack of bravery, as they will fight to the last man against the player. They use carbines, machine guns, snipers, shotguns, bazookas and flamethrowers.
Sarge's War[]
In Sarge's War, the Tan dominate the green. Each Soldier is stronger, and in some instances, smarter. The Lowest rank is about equal, however there are others who hold shotguns and snipers who can absorb vast amounts of damage.
