Blue Soldiers are infantry of the Blue Nation. They are rarely seen in the series, as the Blue Nation does not seem to have a powerful military, instead preferring to utilize small numbers of Blue Spies.

Sarge's Heroes 2[]

When General Plastro attacks Blue Town in Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2, the Blue Soldiers fight against the Tan Army in the streets. They will help Sgt. Hawk as he liberates their town from Plastro's control. They use Shotguns and M-16s.

Two Blue Soldiers also appear in the PS2 version of the mission Revenge, in the building next to the airstrip. They are hostile to General Plastro's Tan troops, but will usually be killed by them, as they are only armed with semi-automatic rifles whereas the tan are using machineguns.

Why the Blue Soldiers are fighting the Tan in this mission are unclear, as up to this point in the series, the Blue have been allies to the Tan; and they are not attacked by General Plastro until 3 missions later: In Blue Town. However, this mission takes place in a captured Tan Republic city, where Field Marshal Tannenburg is being forced to sign surrender papers, so several inferences could be made. Since they're found at the airstrip, it's likely that these Blue Soldiers were either captives freed from the Tan base, waiting to be flown home, or were representatives from the Blue Nation that had flown in to witness the signing that would end the Greens war with the Tan. They could also be part of the Blue Resistance that Brigitte Bleu seemed to mention. Most likely, the Blue Nation's relations with the Tan were probably shakier than the series seemed to suggest.

World War[]

Blue Soldiers appear extensively in Army Men: World War, where they are similarly fighting against a Tan invasion. In the mission "Tanks for Nothing," PFC Green has to protect a blue Tank and Blue Soldiers as they advance down a road while being assailed by the Tan.
